Richard Satchwell Jailed For Life
Richard Satchwell has been jailed for life for the murder of his wife Tina Satchwell in 2017.
The 58-year-old of Grattan Street, Youghal in Cork was found guilty on Friday following a five-week trial at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin.
Tina SatchwellHe claimed in Garda interviews that he acted in self-defence when he killed his wife - however, the jury didn't believe him.
In her victim impact statement, Tina’s half-sister Lorraine Howard said, “no sentence could ever be enough for the monster who took Tina from us.”
Defence barrister Brendan Grehan told the court his client intends to appeal.
